MRDIAL Reloading Powder Measure Adjustment FAQ's

1. Will the MRDial fit on my Dillon?
Yes, our dial will fit any of the following presses. Square Deal B, 550, 650, 1050, and SL900. If you use a 7/16 wrench to adjust your powder measure, this will work. Even on some older powder measures that use an allen wrench to adjust, you can replace the powder bar with one of the new style bars and then add our dial.

2. How much more accurate does this dial make my powder measure?
The accuracy of the powder measure will remain the same. But, the adjustment will become much more fine and easier than the stock way. No more stumbling with tools.

3. What kind of resolution does this dial have?
There have been reports of up to 3 - 4 graduations per 1/10th a grain. It will vary with the type of powder us

4. I never change my settings, why do I need this device?
If you never change your settings, you may want to re-evaluate your setup. All powder measures will retain the same volume to "guess" the weight of the charge. As soon as Temperature, Humidity and/or the lot of powder change, then the powder may end up dropping differently resulting in a different weight. Having the dial will allow very easy adjustment. After all, you started reloading to make better bullets, right?

5. I have a powder bar for each caliber; I never change my settings, why do I need this dial?
Getting another powder bar does not solve any problems, it just creates others. You still end up needing to adjust your measure with the wrench, which falls back to the original problem. Putting a dial on the measure would be the best solution and gives you full control.

6. I always change my settings, how will this device help me?
If you are someone who strives to make the best possible ammo by keeping track of your quality, then this device will make your life a lot easier. A simple twist of the dial will get you right to your load.

7. What do I need to replace to install the dial?
All you need to do is remove the old bolt and replace it with our new improved bolt and dial kit. Instruction will be included.

8. What causes my powder measure to change the amount of powder dropped when the setting did not change?
Temperature, Humidity, lot of powder, press operation, etc. Many things can cause your powder measure not start drifting or throwing different charges.

9. How often do I need to check my powder measure?
ALL THE TIME! I can not stress this enough. Even if you don't get our product, you should always check your powder system and never trust that it has not changed. You need to treat your powder measure like a gun. If someone hands you a gun, do you trust that it is empty with out checking it? (Many people get hurt or killed because they do not take the time to inspect what they are doing.) You should check before you start loading and check every 20 - 30 rounds. The more you check, the better ammo you will have.

10. How come Dillon did not put a dial on the powder bar?
Well, I have been told many reasons why there is no dial on your powder measure. I am not going to go into why, but I have been told by MANY customers that "Dillon really missed the boat with this one".

11. What advantages do I get when I get install my dial?
You get FULL control as well as making it a LOT easier to make adjustments. It gives you the flexibility to work different loads easily.
